Inverse link
Configuration reference: Ligação inversa
Overview
The Inverse link component shows, read-only, the records of another feature that point at the current record through a Linked Select. It is the other side of the link: if each invoice has a Linked Select to its client, the Inverse link in "Clients" lists each client's invoices.
The value is never stored. It is computed from the source feature's records and follows every change with no maintenance: a new invoice, one moved to another client or a deleted one appears or disappears at once. Multi-select links count in every chosen record.
Creating it from the Linked Select
In the settings of a Linked Select column, the Ligação inversa section has a Criar coluna inversa em button followed by the linked feature's name. It creates in that feature an Inverse link column already configured and named after the source feature (for example, "Invoices"). From then on the section shows the created column and an Abrir button that opens its settings.
The button is available once the Linked Select column is saved. Pending changes are saved first, after a confirmation.
The column can also be added by hand, like any other component, choosing the link in the Ligação section.
Configuration
Link
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Source table | The feature whose records point at this one. |
| Link column (in the source) | The source feature's Linked Select that points at this feature. Only those pointing here are listed. |
Display
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Show the count | Shows how many records point at this one. On by default. |
| Visible records | How many records show before the "+N" marker, from 1 to 20. Five by default. |
| Open the record on tap | In the form, tapping a record opens it in a dialog. On by default. |
Display in views
| View | Display |
|---|---|
| Form | Read-only field with the count, the first records, the "+N" and a Ver todos button that opens the source feature's table filtered to the records pointing at this one. |
| Table / List / Kanban / Cards / Kiosk | The count and the first records on a single line. |
| Exports and search | The records' names, comma separated. |
Each record shows the value of its title column: the first visible column that is not a list, a file or an identifier. With no value it shows "(sem título)".
Filters and sorting
- Empty and Not empty: no record pointing, or at least one.
- Equals, Greater than, Less than and Between: compare the number of records.
- In the table, sorting by the column sorts by the count.
These filters apply in the Table, List and Kanban views. In other views (reports, dashboards, calendar) a rule on this column is ignored.
Permissions
Only records of a feature the user can see are listed. Without access to the source feature, the form says "Sem acesso à tabela de origem" and cells stay empty.
Limitations
- The column cannot be grouped by, nor used in formulas, lookups or rollups. For sums and counts with conditions, use a Rollup.
- If the source Linked Select is deleted or retargeted to another feature, the column shows "(ligação removida)" and its settings offer Eliminar coluna. Deleting the Inverse link never changes the source feature.
- To embed a full, editable view of another feature in a form, use the Linked View.
