Wiki view
Configuration reference: Wiki
Overview
The Wiki view shows the records of a table as articles arranged in folders: the tree on the left, the article in the middle and, on wide screens, the outline on the right, all on the same background. It keeps what the team knows (processes, templates, rules) next to the data.
Configuration
In Configurar vista, section Mapeamento, choose:
- Título: the column that names each article.
- Conteúdo: a column of type Description, holding the article text.
- Pasta (optional): a text or select column with the folder path, parts separated by slashes, for example
Vendas/Processos. Without a folder column, every article sits at the root.
In section Ordem, the articles in each folder sort by Título or by Última edição, most recent first. Filtros limit the articles the view shows.
In Configurar vista › Comportamento › Formulário you choose which form opens for Add/Edit and the dialog size (see When opening a record).
Folders
Folders come from the paths written in the folder column: they are not created separately. Vendas/Processos creates the folder Processos inside Vendas. Spaces around the slashes do not count, letter case does (Vendas and vendas are two folders). Each folder shows how many articles it holds, including those in its subfolders.
Reading an article
The article shows the title, the last edit (who and when), the folder and the text. Tapping the folder opens it in the tree. The headings in the text, chosen in the editor toolbar, make the Nesta página outline: to the right of the article on screens at least 900 px wide, in the bar's ⋮ menu otherwise. Tapping a heading in the outline scrolls to it.
The last edit comes from the record history. Records whose history is older than the retention period show the creation date.
Panels
The folder tree and the outline have a draggable handle on their edge:
- Dragging the handle resizes the panel.
- Dragging past the limit closes it.
- Double-clicking the handle closes it or reopens it at its last width.
- With the panel closed, a small button appears at the top of the margin to reopen it; Mostrar pastas, in the ⋮ menu, does the same for the tree.
The width and the open or closed state are kept on the device, for every Wiki view.
Bar
The article actions sit in the view's rail row, the same bar where the Table has Add and Search. While reading:
- Editar, for those who can edit the record.
- In the ⋮ menu: Abrir registo, Nesta página (when the outline is not shown beside the article), Mostrar pastas (when the tree is closed) and Configurar (administrators).
Editing
Editar switches the article to in-place editing, with no form: the title becomes inline, the folder a chip (Mudar de pasta) and the text the editor, with the sections as chips and the one-line toolbar glued to the top (see Description). The folder chip offers the folders that already exist, Sem pasta and Nova pasta…; on a select column it offers that column's options.
Nothing is saved until Guardar. While editing, the bar shows Guardar, Descartar and, when there are changes, the Alterações por guardar notice. Descartar asks for confirmation if there are changes. Moving to another article with unsaved changes asks too. While editing, the outline and the tree's + are hidden.
Abrir registo (while reading) opens the full form, with the table's other columns.
Searching
The Pesquisar na wiki field sits at the top of the tree. It looks in the title and text of the articles, ignoring letter case and accents. With several words, each one must appear in the title or the text. Results show the folder and an excerpt of the text around the word found; those with the word in the title come first.
The + next to the field creates a new article: it opens the add form, already in the open article's folder, and then opens the new article. It only appears for those who can add records.
On the phone
The view opens on the tree (at widths below 600 px). Tapping an article opens it full width, with a Voltar aos artigos button at the top; the + and the search stay in the tree. Editar and Guardar become a floating button and Descartar moves to the ⋮ menu. While editing, the text toolbar sits at the bottom and scrolls horizontally.
Base de conhecimento template
The Base de conhecimento module installs an Artigos table (Título, Pasta and Conteúdo), the Wiki view and eight sample articles in folders, including a Como usar a base de conhecimento article.
