Selection

You can select cards, notes and text, and work on several at once. A selected element has a ring around it.

Select

With the Selecionar (Select) tool:

  • Clicking a note or a text selects it. On a card, the click opens the record.
  • Shift + click adds an element to the selection or removes it, cards included, without opening the record.
  • Dragging the empty board draws a lasso: the elements the lasso touches become selected. With Shift held, the lasso adds to what was already selected.
  • Ctrl + A (Cmd + A on macOS) selects everything on the board.
  • Clicking the empty board or pressing Esc clears the selection.

With Nota or Texto picked, a click on the empty board creates the element instead of clearing the selection.

Move

Drag any selected element and the whole group goes together, in a single write. If you drag an element that is not selected, it goes alone and becomes the selection. With Shift held, the element joins the group and takes it along.

The "N selecionados" bar

With two or more elements selected, a bar appears above them reading "2 selecionados" (and so on), with the buttons that apply to the group:

  • Tirar do quadro (Remove from board): appears when the selection has cards. The cards go back to the Registos tray; the records are not deleted. It removes every selected card. Hover the button for the tip.
  • Apagar (Delete): appears when the selection has notes or texts. It deletes only those; the cards stay.

A single selected card has the same bar, reading "1 selecionado". Nothing here deletes a record.

From the keyboard

Delete or Backspace does the same as the two buttons together: the selected cards go back to the tray and the selected notes and texts are deleted. Records are never deleted. Everything can be undone with Ctrl + Z.

On touch

One finger on an unselected element pans the board. To move an element, tap it to select it and then drag; or long-press, which selects it and opens a sheet of options. See Phone and tablet.
